Exports to reach $ 19 b in 2025
  • Sri Lanka's export earnings for 2025 are projected at $18.7 billion, while the country has achieved 82% of its $16.4 billion target for 2024 by earning $13.5 billion in the first 10 months, a 7.19% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

 

Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) Chairperson Mangala Wijesinghe announced that the country’s total export earnings for 2025 are forecasted to reach $18.7 billion, with $14.54 billion expected from merchandise exports and $4.16 billion from services exports. He noted that in the first 10 months of 2024, Sri Lanka earned $13.5 billion from total exports, reflecting a 7.19% increase compared to the same period in 2023. With an annual export target of $16.4 billion for 2024, the country has already achieved 82% of this target within the first 10 months.
